Turning 4 & Turkey Day

Sometimes when you have a birthday late in November you have to share it with a turkey. Luckily, this year Mikaela and I celebrated our birthday the day after Thanksgiving. Mikaela is a lucky girl and seems to celebrate her birthday for a week each year beginning with a birthday party with her classmates and friends. We had a jump party again this year which was a big hit. The theme was Tinkerbell and I had a good time coming up with the favors. We gave our guests fairy catching kits complete with nets. The staff at Pump It Up were great and shined a flashlight around the room while they were passing out the favors encouraging the kids to "catch" the fairy. After the party, Graeme made his first (and hopefully only)trip to the ER in an ambulance. We spent 5 hours there recovering from a very bad episode of the croup. It was a scary night but with help from our family and friends we made it thru. Then we prepared for our 1st Thanksgiving in our new house. We had and still have a lot to be thankful for. The day was nice and relaxing spent with just our families. Reading with Nana
