Home Economics

We had a play date this past week with Mikaela's classmates. I learned during that Home Economics is still an elective.

I'm not sure that Mikaela will have any need to take it. While she still has no interest in cleaning up her toys, she now wants to unload the dishwasher. I, of course, am not one to turn down her help.

If she wants to do laundry, I let her fold. If she wants to clean the bathroom, I put her in the shower with a sponge, sans cleaner of course. Now if she wants to unload the dishwasher I grab the stool, open the drawer, and hand her the silverware basket.

I see some light at the end of the tunnel. Next up chore chart and allowance...
